As I’m sure you’ve noticed, I haven’t put up a blog post in the few months this site has been active. Every time I went to type something, it just felt not “important” enough to be my first post to be sent out into the void. It played on my anxiety and I just avoided thinking about it altogether.
Well, with the new year, I’ve decided there’s no better time to start!
I won’t waste any space in this blog post with introductions, you’ve gotten all that in my “About” section. I’ll get right to the point…
Have I procrastinated long enough?
I’ve finally decided, almost a month into the new year, what my yearly resolutions are. (And I’m already on track for the first month!) It will basically be to write more, but it will be more focused than that. First, I’m going to be writing at least two chapters of any WIP novel I currently have started, monthly. Second, I’m going to write at least one short story each month. (So throw some prompts at me!) Third and last, I’ll be writing at least one blog post per month.
It’s taken some time to think about exactly how I wanted to focus my blog so it has some sort of consistency. I’ve decided, for now, it will be focused on the art of self-publishing. I might throw in some personal posts here and there (like this one), but with most of my posts, I’ll strive to be a valuable resource to any author wanting to wade into the self-publishing waters.
Well, it’s late (I have a tendency to do things spontaneously, so bear with me!) and that’s about all I have to say on this topic.
